MSM and HIV Global Forum (2015)
MSM and HIV Global Forum (2015)
Empowering key populations to advocate for their rights.
In 2015, AUA collaborated with Breakthrough Initiatives to extend our work with the MSM (men who have sex with men) and transgender communities.
For this project, AUA organized a series of advocacy forums to engage PLHIV from the MSM community. A total of 159 people participated in the forums, which took place at AUA sites in Phnom Penh and Kampong Cham.
The objectives of the forums were as follows:
- Disseminate information about HIV/AIDS Law and human rights
- Present the challenges and problems experienced by MSM and PLHIV
- Enable local authorities, service providers and other institutions to learn more about MSM and PLHIV’s need and to reduce discrimination and stigma towards PLHIV and MSM
This forum series was made possible through joint funding from KHANA and Solidarité Sida, and through the cooperation of Cambodia's Ministry of National Assembly-Senate Relation and Inspection.
