Peam Village HIV Cluster

Peam Village HIV Cluster Response

March 2016 - September 2016

In 2016, a HIV cluster was identified in Peam Village, Kandal province when 21 people aged between 30 and 79 years tested positive for HIV. In cooperation with Save Incapacity Teenagers (SIT) and under the support of Flagship through KHANA, AUA is working to provide psychosocial support to newly diagnosed PLHIV and their families.

AUA's activities in Peam Village include:

  • Home visits
  • One-on-one counseling
  • Group discussions
  • Educational sessions
  • Service referral

AUA and SIT will continue to visit Peam Village twice monthly until the project conclusion date in order to provide ongoing support to PLHIV and the broader Peam community.
